York University Schulich School of Business was designed by Taylor Hariri Pontarini Architects, which are now known as Hariri Pontarini Architects. Schulich’s Executive Learning Centre reinforces the School’s mandate of innovative learning with a first-class corporate setting. The building is a 60-suite integrated residence and education centre offering short-term and long-term residence programs to business executives and corporations.
In the manner of the world’s best boutique hotels and first-class lounges, the centre simulates a familiar and elegant business environment that caters to executives in every detail. Centre includes stylish guest suites, a strong sense of privacy, spectacular views, enhanced classrooms with comfortable furniture, a fitness facility, lounges equipped with personal internet access, and an elegant dining room serving fine food and including an outdoor courtyard. Each guest suite is equipped with a fully integrated work area.
Other features incorporated into the centre include wireless internet cafés, a 300-seat auditorium, technology-enhanced classrooms, a central “information wall” of multiple TV screens, a library with a reading room that has a direct view of the woodlands next to the school, and a main courtyard large enough to hold convocation ceremonies.
